1997

Founded in 21 October 1997 to provide mediation and counselling services to individuals, families and organisations so as to build a community of relationally and psycho-emotionally healthy and happy people

1998

Registered as a charity under the Charities Act, granted Institution of Public Character (IPC) status

 2000

Registered as a full member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS)

2001-2007

Launched the peacemaking training initiative to equip people with skills to manage conflicts

Launched mediation training in Singapore

Collaborated in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) initiative of the Ministry of Law

Commenced mediating in Family Court divorce cases

Established school-based counselling at the National Junior College (NJC)

Commenced mediating at the Tribunal of Maintenance of Parents

Launched EMCC’s Marriage Preparation Programme – Beyond I Do

2008

Celebrated 10th Anniversary with the theme Peacemaking – Starting with me and my home

Conducted a public talk for married and to-be-married couples with trainers, Dr Clifford & Mrs Joyce Penner

Conducted a 4-day Certification Seminar on Counselling for Sexual Disorders with trainers, Dr Clifford & Mrs Joyce Penner

Conducted a 40-hour Family Mediation Training Seminar approved by the Association for Conflict Resolution (USA) with trainer, Mr Jim Melamed, an award-winning Family & Divorce Mediator

Participated in the nationwide Employee Wellness Programme launched by the Health Promotion Board with an outreach of 10,000 individuals from the community and about 100 corporate organisations

2009

Held the Taking Your Biz & Organisation Forward  forum for leaders of organisations wth guest speaker Dr Michael Schluter, Chairman of Relationships Foundation

Conducted a 3-day workshop on Family Conflict Management & Mediation Training for 36 Family Service Centres with Dr John Ng

Published three books: Dim Sum for the Family and Parenting Your Parents by Dr. John Ng and So You Want to be a Father! by Mrs Maureen Ng

 2010

Appointed co-ordinating partner of FINE (Family & Fathering Initiative@NorthEast) launched by the North East Community Development Council

Co-organised Peacemakers Workshop 2010, a peer mediation workshop for 100 secondary school students from 17 schools

Officially opened Eagles Meditation and Counselling Centre at Liang Court

Published So You Want to be Heard! by Maureen Ng, a booklet containing tips for parents on how to communicate with their children

2011

Conducted Peer mediation training for 71 students at Greendale Secondary School and Singapore Chinese Girls’ School

Conducted lunch-time talks on Stress Management and other psycho-emotional topics as part of CSC’s (Civil Service College) Workplace Emotional Health Programme

Conducted Introduction to Conflict Style Preference Inventory (COSPI) workshop with Dr. John Ng

Partnered with Fathers@Schools to conduct Parent-Teen Conflict Management training for fathers of pupils in schools

2012

Conducted nine Parent-Teen Conflict – Peace Begins With Me workshops for fathers at eight secondary schools

Conducted two Family Mediation workshops to the staff of Ministry of Social and Family Development (formerly Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports)

Appointed to conduct basic mediation training at Social Service Training Institute (SSTI)

Awarded a second contract to partner with Fathers@Schools to conduct Father-Teen Conflict Resolution workshops in schools

Conducted four Father-Teen Conflict Resolution workshops in schools

Appointed to run Father-Teen Conflict Resolution workshops under Dads@Communities

Partnered with Community Mediation Unit, Ministry of Law to conduct three Peer Mediation Workshop at three secondary schools
