EMCC conducts half day, one-day and two-day workshops related to mediation skills, peer mediation, conflict management and wellness topics. Some courses are held at EMCC’s premises and others are conducted at the Social Service Institute (SSI), schools or community organisations. 2-day Basic Mediation Workshop*
A workshop for social workers, counsellors, case managers, teachers, heads of Voluntary Welfare Organisations, mediators, family dispute resolution practitioners, psychologists, volunteers (social service work), educators and other professionals dealing with relational / interpersonal conflict issues.
Participants will be equipped with conflict management and resolution skills through the use of mediation to resolve issues of interpersonal conflicts in the family, community and workplace.

2-day Advanced Mediation Workshop*
This is the second part of the Mediation Training for participants who have completed the Basic Mediation Workshop. This workshop builds upon the skills covered in the basic course and also provides participants with a deeper understanding of interpersonal conflicts, especially in handling relational and family disputes. More advanced skills are also imparted.

Conflict Management Workshop (half or full-day workshop)
This workshop is aimed at equipping participants with a deeper understanding of the nature of conflict and how to manage it effectively. Topics include learning how to de-escalate conflict, how to transform destructive conflict styles and to identify conflict situations that may require professional mediation services.
Father-Teen Conflict Management Workshop (half-day workshop)
This is a 4-hour workshop held typically on Saturdays and aims to create awareness of conflict triggers, teach participants effective strategies to manage conflict and enhance their parent-child relationships. Topics include understanding conflicts, types of conflicts, strategies to de-escalate conflicts, introduction to peacemaking and when to refer or seek professional family mediation or counselling.
2-day Conflict Conciliation Workshop
This workshop is aimed at equipping church leaders with important life skills and confidence to turn conflict into positive outcomes. Topics covered include: early detection and de-escalation of potentially destructive conflict situations, creating the right climate for transforming conflict into opportunity for growth and use of peacemaking skills to resolve conflict.
Peer Mediation Workshops (half-day, full-day or two-day workshops available)
This workshop is aimed at students to help them better manage conflicts and become peacemakers among their peers. Students are taught life skills in conflict resolution through mediation and by role-playing. They also learn to apply these life skills to help their peers resolve conflicts.

This one-day workshop is based on the scientifically researched New York Times bestseller by Dr John Gottman, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. At the workshop couples will learn to strengthen their relationships in a variety of ways including how to develop and deepen their love maps, foster fondness and admiration, facilitate turning towards each other, accept influence, solve solvable problems, overcome gridlock, create shared meaning and maintain gains.
