Training Focus on Trauma

This July, EMCC is organising three events for clinicians, in partnership with Arizona Trauma Institute (ATI).

Recent research has spotlighted the fact that most emotional and psychological dysregulation (such as depression and anxiety) is caused by a single or multiple traumatic incidents. The key to helping clients in their healing and recovery is in knowing how to recognise and resolve the trauma.

EMCC is organising these training events to expand this area of knowledge and skills among mental health professionals in Singapore so that many more can recover and lead healthy lives. ATI is a leading training institution in the field and Dr Robert Rhoton, its CEO, has made it their mission to promote the “correct” way of communicating and helping someone with a trauma history.
