About Adulting
“Is it OK to feel this anxious?” is part of About Adulting a new series of talks designed for young adults and their parents to help them better understand and cope with the challenges of adulting.
Going to university, becoming independent, entering the workforce and becoming an adult can be exciting. But it can also feel scary.
Youth who are getting ready for the adult world sometimes feel inadequate and anxious. Young adults stepping into the workforce may get overwhelmed. Sometimes, the anxiety can get in the way of everyday living, sabotaging our goals and plans.
Meanwhile, some parents are increasingly bewildered by their children’s communications styles, career decisions, sleeping habits, and many more other life choices.
Through this series of talks and workshops, we aim to equip young adults with advice and tools that they can use to navigate this new phase of their life.
We will also help parents better understand the adulting world of today so that they can better support and communicate with their children.
The About Adulting series is lovingly supported by the donors to our Love & Hope: Support our Youth appeal. Please donate and support our youth here.
