Trauma Release

Trauma, whether caused by a single event or a long-drawn accumulation of negative experiences can affect an individual’s quality of life. Trauma causes distorted thinking, poor emotional management, and a dysregulation of your Autonomic Nervous System. EMCC Executive Director Joachim Lee explains.

TRAUMA RELEASE

Not all trauma treatment requires you to revisit and retell the event. It can be forward-facing and need not be about the past. You are also not required to ‘bond with the emotional pain’.

One way is through rewiring the limbic system using the Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) approach.

If you are struggling to overcome intense emotions (anger, anxiety or low moods) and/or are experiencing involuntary intrusion of unwanted memories of the past caused by trauma, you could consider MEMI as part of your trauma recovery.

If you would like to consider using the MEMI approach, please visit our Enquiry/ Appointment page and indicate “Trauma Release” in the message box.

EMCC’s Executive Director and Senior Principal Psychotherapist is Asia’s leading expert in the use of the Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) for trauma release therapy.
