Introducing the EMCC – Barclay’s LifeSkills programme, a comprehensive mental wellness programme, tailored for the unemployed. Through engaging peer support groups, one-to-one counseling sessions, skills training, and job coaching, we aim to empower participants with the tools they need to navigate the challenges and uncertainties during the period of unemployment. Join us on this journey to improved mental wellness and resilience.
Unemployment can bring with it several challenges that affect individuals and families on emotional, financial, and social levels. The uncertainty of finding a new job can lead to increased stress and anxiety. Unemployment can impact self-esteem, especially when societal expectations tie personal worth to employment status. Financial strain and emotional stress can strain relationships with family and friends. It’s important to recognize the multifaceted nature of these challenges and to approach the support of unemployed individuals with empathy and understanding. Providing resources, counselling, and networking opportunities can help address some of these challenges and support individuals during their job search journey.
The programme will consist of 3 major components for each participant.
C1 – Job Search Advisory
Workforce Singapore (WSG)’s career advisory team offers job advice and collaborates with you to chart a course of action, bringing you closer to your next job.
C2 – Job Skills Training and Placement Support
Generation Singapore provides training and employment programmes in tech and healthcare sectors to equip you with skills you need for in-demand jobs. Learners receive holistic well-being support, mentorship by industry professionals, interviews with employer partners, placement assistance for up to six months, and more.

|A Job Seekers’ Guide to Self Awareness & Self Regulation
Job hunting can be a stressful experience. To leverage the odds in our favour, jobseekers tend to overwhelmingly appeal to the rational, conscious aspect of potential employers by highlighting our education, work-experience, and credentials. What many do not realise, is that key decisions are also often unconscious, instinctive, and based on “gut” instinct. Through this neuroscience-informed workshop, participants will develop the self-awareness and practical neurosensory exercises to “read the room,” deactivate under pressure, and show up to the hiring table as their best possible Self.
